Panchayat
A Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives responsible for managing the administrative affairs of Panchayati Raj institutions. As far as a Grama Panchayat is concerned, it is the primary committee that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and handles day-to-day administration.The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. They preside over meetings and supervise the overall functioning of the Panchayat.Vice President: Discharges the duties in the absence of the President.Ward Members: Elected representatives from each ward of the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Sub-committees formed for matters such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education to streamline and ease the decision-making process.
